Bills we are following in the Maryland Legislature

The Maryland General Assembly session will conclude at midnight on April 13, 2026. This is called Sine Die. There are many bills still making their way through the chambers. Here are a couple to keep an eye on:

  • No Kings Act SB 346  This bill creates a clear pathway for Marylanders to seek civil relief when a federal official violates their constitutional rights while acting in their official capacity. It is in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
  • Glock Conversion SB 334  This bill addresses a critical public safety measure that prohibits the sale of DIY machine guns, handguns that can be easily and quickly converted into fully automatic weapons using illegal “switches.”  This illegal switch has resulted in a proliferation of rapid-fire DIY machine guns. Additional information here

There are many more bills to get through the legislature by Sine Dei! Click here and filter by the name of the legislator or committee to find additional bills, or send us an email if you’d like to learn more.

And Finally, An Ask

Indivisible MoCoWomen is heading into a busy and exciting spring—and we need your help to keep the momentum going.

Since the start of MoCoWoMen in 2017, our leadership team has personally covered the costs of running this group. But with our incredible growth over the past year, that’s no longer sustainable. To continue expanding our impact, we’ve partnered with ActBlue to make supporting our work simple and accessible.

Your contribution will directly support:

  • Speaker fees

  • Get Out the Vote supplies (postcards, stamps, pens, markers, and more)

  • Materials for rallies, marches, and protests (poster board, printing, paint, etc.)

  • Room rentals for events, gatherings, and educational programming
  • Our Website
  • This Newsletter

If you are able, please consider making a donation using the link below. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps us continue advocating, organizing, and building community together. Click here to contribute to Indivisible MoCoWoMen

Thank you for being part of this work!
